Currently, we recommend and support Microsoft Outlook Express 6 as your email client. With advanced support for IMAP servers, it's the best software solution for your email handling needs. If you want to use Outlook, we understand and have provided setup instructions. Outlook is not optimized for IMAP, however, and as a result, we can't offer the same level of support as we can for Outlook Express.
effortlessE uses IMAP for your email because of the functionality and flexibility it provides. Unlike POP3 (which you may be used to), IMAP allows you to keep your messages stored on our servers. When you use a different computer, or the web, you will still have access to all of your email, new and old. In fact, you will have access to your email anywhere that has an internet connection and a web browser. In addition, our servers automatically scan for viruses on every message you send and receive - protecting you and your customers. Finally, we offer spam filtering that will keep the number of unwanted messages to a minimum.
Your domain is yours to use as you please. effortlessE gives you an unlimited number of email addresses to use as you see fit. To add additional email accounts, simply open a trouble ticket and request another email address.
Webmail allows you to access all of your messages from anywhere in the world. As long as you have a computer that is connected to the internet with a web browser, you can check and manage your mail. All you do is go to http://mail.effortlesse.com, and log in using your email address as the username and your email password. When you get home, Outlook Express will still work, and any changes you make will be reflected.
We all hate spam. When you are running a business, spam mail takes valued time away from more important activities. Our spam filter is programmed to look at each piece of mail you get and sort out the unwanted messages. While it is very good software, it isn't perfect. You may still receive messages you didn't ask for. If you do, simply drag them to the public spam folder - and the system will learn from your choices. Conversely, if you happen to notice a piece of mail in your personal spam folder that shouldn't have been there, you can drag that message to the non-spam public folder and the system will learn from that as well.
